The triple braid

This was the hairstyle monica chose for her school dance. we added the flower to match her dress. :) this looked SO pretty one her.
GOOD LUCK.
1.begin in the middle. french braid, adding different amounts of hair each time, to give a different look.
2. go to the right and left side repeating the process.
3. gather all braids into a pony-tale
4.LOOSELY braid the pony tale, so each peice in the braid is large. then secure with a clear elastic.
5. wist the braid, and shape into a bun pinning down sides.

side chignon again

I've been practicing this look over and over. i first did this on my friend Monica's hair, and since she has requested it for a dance look, i wanted more practice. This is my amazing wonderful awesome friend Kamberlynne :) she let me do her hair and it looked AWESOME. i wont give the instructions again but be sure to try this for yourself! its so pretty and really easy!

The spiral braid

The picture on the left was one of my first successful spiral braids. !! they look really cool when done right, but they are also WAY hard. give it a try!!
1. section off 6 inch circle of hair in the middle of head, and secure with a hair tie. (make sure there is at least 2 inches of hair on the outside perimeter.)
2.take a section from the outer hair and separate into TWO pieces.
3.begin to braid using a small piece of the pony tail in the center as your third braid section.
4. continue in a circle using the pony tail and outer layers to french braid.
5. braid the extra hair all the way down and wrap that around the center braid. this will create the spiral.

Braided Low do

It's very bad quality, but this was a braided low do. here are instructions if you can understand :) enjoy!
1. section off top 1/3 of the hair.
2. braid starting at the right, to the left, a dutch (inverse) braid. i found it looked really cute if the braid goes down like a waterfall.
3. fold the ends under the remaining hair.
4. curl the bottom 2/3 of hair
5. twist them around to form a bun
6. pin in place.

Ps. if you want more volume, you can always tease starting at the roots. I thought it looked pretty and more natural this way though.

Braided Chignon

To the left is my new favorite. It's a side chignon folded into a braid. I don't have a video tutorial for this style, but it was SUPER easy and looked effortless in her hair.

1. brush through hair
2. loosely curl the hair in a 1 inch curling iron. (this will make the hair easy to manipulate into your twist)
3. starting at the right grab all the hair and twist to the left upwards.
4.pin down the twist with BOBBY PINS. hair pins will not hold this securly.
5. with the remaining hair, form a VERY loose braid.                                 each section should be as wide as 2-3 fingers.
6. use a clear elastic to hold the ends.
7. twist the braid upwards so that the elastic end is hidden in the twist. 
8. pin down all around the bun, shaping the braid as you go.

SOON TO COME- HAIR

I LOVE hair. You should know this. I'm a huge fan of staring at hairstyles and trying to figure out how they were done. I absolutely love doing my friends hair (when they are willing) and coming up with new styles on my own. (which doesn't always work out) i'm super excited to make my first tutorial... Hopefully i can think of one to do fairly soon. Stay tuned soon to come are some out of this world prom styles (worn by my friend Monica) and LOTS of easy every day do's :)

double chocolate heaven

I made these over winter break. TO DIE FOR.

Ingredients
2 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/3 cup HERSHEY®'S Cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) HERSHEY®'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY®'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions
Heat oven to 375°F.
Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed of mixer until creamy. Add eggs; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. (makes about 5 dozen cookies.)
